Deer have annually ravaged my mother-in-law's garden, eating the tops off of flowers, bedding down on her tigerlillies, and more. If they had opposable thumbs and a credit card, they'd probably be putting graffiti on their house as well. Mohonk Mountain house has a good list of plants deer don't find palatable. "...
